Money in the Classroom
Credit Scores
Money in the Classroom's Credit Score lesson is the second lesson in the series designed to help educate students on not only what a credit score is, but also how their current actions and decisions can start impacting their score. Basics of credit scores is covered including what your score represents and the role of the credit bureaus.
After the presentation, students volunteer to represent a persona. Students walk in the life of their persona for 1 year to showcase how certain actions and behaviors can impact a credit score. When making a negative choice, students take a step back. When making a positive choice, students take a step forward. At the end of one year, students guess the credit scores and can see the impact of their actions.
