Financial Education
To encourage our community to make wise financial decisions and reach their biggest (and smallest) financial goals, I created two education programs - Money in the Classroom & Money in the Community.

Money in the Classroom is a three-lesson curriculum designed for high school students to start thinking about life after high school. Money in the Community is an adult education program aimed at providing unbiased education on important financial topics.

Credit Scores
The Credit Score lesson introduces students to the basics of credit scores including what actions can impact your score.
To showcase how different actions impact a credit score, students walk through one year representing various personas - Never Pay Nancy, Always Pay Andy, Sometimes Pay Sally & Zero Credit Zander.

Getting a Loan
Getting a Loan brings all of the lessons together highlighting how one can get a loan including why applications are approved or denied.
To see the loan process in action, students are hired at the credit union to determine if they will approve or deny a loan utilizing the three C's of credit - capacity, character & collateral.

Debt Freedom
Debt Freedom is a workshop designed to help attendees create a plan to stop living paycheck to paycheck. The workshop is divided into three sections - debt prep work, the nitty gritty of a debt snowball plan and how to make thoughtful, future decisions.

Utilizing Dave Ramsey's Debt Snowball method, attendees walk away with a plan to conquer their debt.
